Hi-tech teledermatology treatments have led to a significant reduction in climate-damaging greenhouse gas emissions, cutting an estimated 236 metric tonnes.
This remarkable achievement is down to the innovative teledermatology services provided by AllView Healthcare, as confirmed by a report from Maynooth University School of Business.
The report highlights that AllView Healthcare’s use of advanced imaging technology to diagnose and treat skin conditions, such as cancer, without requiring patients to visit a consultant in person, has resulted in “a substantial saving on greenhouse gas emissions over the last two years”.
By eliminating the need for physical appointments, AllView Healthcare has achieved several environmental benefits:

The reduction in travel has been substantial, with the report noting: “We calculated the approximate kilometres saved to be 713,005, which equates to over 236 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions.”
