Booking Platform FAQ’s

A full consultation includes a nurse scanning your skin issue (3 areas of the body) and taking your medical history, then the Consultant Dermatologist reviewing and diagnosing your condition. Following the consultant reviewing your case, and depending on the outcome, one of our medical team (GP or Nurse) may contact you to discuss the consultants report. A prescription is also included if required, sent to your local pharmacy.

Price is €229.00

Consultants currently will not see a minor under the age of 14.

Vhi medical insurance policy will cover up to half of the initial teledermatology consultation, and most follow-on care is covered with an excess of €50 to €75 per appointment, depending on the policy type.

No, Teledermatology enables the consultant to view skin issue remotely, from another location, following the patients consultation with a clinic nurse.

However, If the consultant thinks you require further treatment you will then be given an appointment

No, when patients present to a clinic using AllView Healthcare technology, They should identify to the clinic nurse the skin issue you want reviewed by the consultant. Patients can have up to 3 single moles, lesions or rash areas checked in a single consultation.

Scans will only ever be read by the Specialist Consultant based in your country and results will also be sent to the referring GP (if applicable)

On average it will take 15 – 20 mins, but on occasion may take longer.

On average, patients will receive their initial results back from a consultant within 1 week

Yes, Consultants using the AllView platform can diagnose rashes.

AllView Healthcare does not provide mole mapping or full body skin examinations. Teledermatology is what enables your clinic to get rapid results and treatment plans from specialist consultants to patients. Using our technology, scanners can image 3 locations on the body for consultants to diagnose remotely following the consultation. Patients who have an excess of 3 moles / areas of concern will be referred for a face-to-face examination.

Once appointment is cancelled more than 72 hours prior to your appointment you will get 100% refund, otherwise you will be charged €60 cancellation fee.

What price is a consultation?

Price is €309.00 – same price for private or medical card holders.

Will Consultants see a minor?

Consultants currently will not see a minor under the age of 16.

Will health insurance cover this?

Yes, the consultant will issue a receipt that you can claim from your health insurance provider. You will receive this after the full consultation has been completed.

Without health insurance?

You can claim health expenses directly from revenue at the rate of 20% of the cost. Further information here: Revenue

Do patients get to see the consultant face-to-face?

Who will see and review the scan?

Scans will only ever be read by the Specialist Consultant based in your country and results will also be sent to the referring GP.

How long does a consultation take?

On average it will take 15 – 20 mins, but on occasion may take longer.

How long to get results?

On average, patients will receive results back from a consultant/specialist within 2 – 4 weeks in Ireland. In the UK this is within the NHS standard 2WW timeframes.

Can a medical card holder/GMS patient avail of AllView Healthcare services?

GMS/Medical card holders must pay as private patients.

Are rash patients suitable candidates for AllView Healthcare?

Yes, Consultants using the AllView platform can diagnose rashes.

Can mole mapping or full body skin exams be facilitated through AllView Healthcare technology?

AllView Healthcare does not provide mole mapping or full body skin examinations.
